Pre-Inspection Review
We review drawings, specifications, and prior VSP findings before arriving on site. We know what to look for before we look.
Cruise Vessel Public Health Inspection · Services
We offer construction inspection, operational inspection, or both, depending on where you are in your vessel's lifecycle. Either way, you get an inspector with depth in both disciplines.
Service One
When your refit or drydock is finishing, the contractor's work looks complete. What you accept at handover is what CDC inspects months later, unannounced, at full operation.
We review drawings, specifications, and prior VSP findings before arriving on site. We know what to look for before we look.
We walk every renovated public-health area against VSP 2025 Construction Standards. Logged in real time by deck, area, and VSP reference.
Complete written report within 24 hours. Every finding located, categorized, and paired with a specific corrective action.
We bring an operational eye to every construction inspection, so what we flag isn't just built wrong, it's built wrong for the life it will actually lead.
Service Two
CDC inspects ships in U.S. ports while operations are scaled back. Your ship sails at full operation. We inspect aboard, at sea, while the ship operates as it actually operates.
Review prior inspection reports and coordinate department training schedule before boarding.
Prior documents, training distribution, walkthrough schedule, person-in-charge per area confirmed.
Department training followed by walkthroughs. Manager present at all times. Real-time correction. Pre-arrival mock if a U.S. or Canadian port day falls within the visit.
Draft findings walked through with all stakeholders. Corrective actions confirmed before disembark.
Full written report within 24 hours of disembark. Non-negotiable.
We inspect at full operation because that is the only condition CDC will eventually test.
Built Into Every Inspection
Department-by-department sessions delivered on board: galley, housekeeping, pool, medical. We walk crew through the standards against their own equipment and spaces.
Built on decades of academic teaching. We explain the reasoning behind every standard, so the right practice holds long after we disembark.
A pre-arrival mock inspection whenever a U.S. or Canadian port day falls within the visit, so the crew has rehearsed before CDC ever steps aboard.
